Pointer puppy is said to come from sporting breed. The weight of a female pointer puppy is around 50 pounds and that of a male pointer puppy is 60 pounds. The height of a male puppy is 28 inches and that of a female is 25 inches. They are very energetic and tireless in nature. The color may vary from lemon, black, brown or white or any color blended with white. Its entire body is covered by coat. The coat is medium sized. And it is shiny and silky. They are very loyal to their owner. Earlier they were used as hunter dogs. So slightly they have that character. They love to be in outdoors like balcony and garden. They become depressed if they are left alone for a longer time. So they are left in the outdoors when the owner goes out. They are naturally friendly and energetic. But if not trained properly they become timid. It is very difficult to train them. So patience is a key point that has to be kept in mind while training it. It is not recommended for small house. They need a large area to live. And they must not be allowed to play with other small animals as pointer puppy may hurt them. They are very tempered in nature but at the same time lovable and affectionate. Proper care must be taken. They must be brushed daily. It is enough if they are shampooed twice a year as they don not get much dirty.
