Pointer puppy breeds come from sporting breed. They are the ancestors of Spanish pointer. They are the commonly used pet dogs. They are very affectionate and lovable just like small children. They easily mingle with human beings as well as other animals. They are very loyal to their owner. They feel comfortable with the people with whom it was brought up rather than any new persons. It likes playing with small children. They were initially used as hunting dogs so they have that kind of attitude. But can be brought up well through training. But it is very difficult to train them. While having them as pet it is advisable to not grow other small animals as it may hurt them. They are very energetic in nature. But it may also become timid if not trained or socialized well. When we use them as pet it, intense care and affection must be shown on it. It must be brushed daily. It is enough if we shampoo it once in 5 months as they do not have a thicker coat. It must given proper food. It must be taken for a walk once it finishes its food. Proper diet is to be maintained. Another important thing is that, very often they must be taken to vet nary clinic. Loneliness may drive them bonkers. So is advisable that it is not left alone for more than a day. If that is not possible then it can be left in some kennel for that period of time.
